[About us]

A journal made by people who actually grow things

fitshluminous started because we couldn't find a gardening publication that took balconies and small urban spaces seriously. So we built one ourselves, in Leeds, and kept it honest.

[What we stand for]

Four things we won't compromise on

Honesty over hype

If a plant doesn't perform in a pot, we won't recommend it. If a technique is fiddly, we'll say so. No fluff, no affiliate-driven enthusiasm.

Seasonal relevance

Our editorial calendar follows the actual British growing year, not a generic template. Every article is timed to be useful when you read it.

Rooted in community

Many of our best stories come from readers. We feature community gardens, local projects and growers who've done something worth sharing.

Editorial independence

Sponsored content is clearly labelled. Our editorial output is decided by what's genuinely useful to our readers, not by commercial arrangements.

[Our mission]

We believe that a balcony, a windowsill, or a patch of shared outdoor space is enough to grow something that matters. fitshluminous exists to make that case - clearly, practically, and without pretending any of it is easy.
